C_K_Wu_Jan_24January 25 - The host city agreement for the 2011 Women's Youth and Junior World Championships has been signed by the International Boxing Association (AIBA).


The championships will be held in the south coast town of Antalya, Turkey, from April 28 to May 8.

The agreement was signed by AIBA President C K Wu and Turkey's Sports Minister Faruk Özak, at the Wow Hotel in Istanbul.

Also present were Hakan Tütüncü, Mayor of Kepez - the event will be held at the Kepez Sports Hall - Yunus Akgül, from the General Directorate of Youth and Sports, Saadettin Saran, owner of the Istanbulls World Series of Boxing team, Togay Bayatli, President of the Turkish National Olympic Committee, and Eyüp Gözgec, President of the Turkish Boxing Federation.

The other two major AIBA events this year are the Junior World Championships, which will be held in Astana, Kazakhstan, from July 20-31 and the men's World Championships, which will be held in Baku, Azerbaijan, from September 22 to October 10 and will be the first qualifying event for the London 2012 Olympic Games.
