GlobalSportsJobs is a specialist digital media platform for the international sports industry which offers job seekers access to the latest sports industry vacancies from around the globe, from entry-level to senior positions.

The firm is up against Continental Tyres and Adidas; EDGE10; Get Scheduled Limited; Rhino Rugby Limited; SOS Rehydrate; SportingPulse International; and The All England Lawn Tennis Club (Championships) Limited and IBM Interactive in the Best Technology Partnership category.

The Sports Technology Awards have been launched to recognise the increasingly important role that technology plays in sport and the positive impact on athletes, officials, spectators and sport organisations.

The awards present the opportunity to celebrate excellence and acknowledge successful technological innovation across all aspects of sports.

Entries were received from all over the world including Austria, Holland, Finland, Turkey, Italy, South Africa, the United States and Australia, from brands specialised in clothing, equipment, digital technology and apps.

"The influence of technology on sport continues to grow and can often be invisible as it contributes in so many unseen ways," said Rebecca Hopkins, director of the Sport Technology Awards.

"The Sports Technology Awards have been created as a showcase for the companies which enhance all elements of the sector and the response has been amazing.

Among the panel of judges who will adjudicate on the awards are Sir Clive Woodward, coach when England won the 2003 Rugby World Cup, and Tessa Sanderson, the 1984 Olympic javelin champion.
