June 3 - The International Paralympic Committee (IPC) have been given an Award of Excellence in the Print/Design category for Non-Profit Organisations from the 2010 Communicator Awards for its Annual Report 2008 and its Anniversary Book.



The Award of Excellence is given to those entries whose ability to communicate puts them among the best in the field.

The Communicator Awards, the leading international awards programme honouring creative excellence for Communications Professionals, were founded by communication professionals over a decade ago.

The Communicator Awards receive over 7,000 entries from companies and agencies of all sizes making it one of the largest awards of its kind in the world.

The Communicator Awards provides winners and their clients with the recognition they deserve and gives communications and creative professionals proof and validation that their work is outstanding and highly regarded by their peers.

An IPC statement said: "The International Paralympic Committee is proud to announce that it’s Annual Report 2008 and its Anniversary Book has been awarded an Award of Excellence in the Print/Design category for Non-Profit Organisations from the 2010 Communicator Awards."

The Awards are sanctioned and judged by the International Academy of the Visual Arts (IAVA), an invitation-only body consisting of top-tier professionals from a “Who’s Who” of acclaimed media, communications, advertising, creative and marketing firms.

IAVA members include executives from organisations such as Alloy, Brandweek, Coach, Disney, The Ellen Degeneres Show, Estee Lauder, Fry Hammond Barr, HBO, Monster.com, MTV, Polo Ralph Lauren, Sotheby’s Institute of Art, Victoria’s Secret, Wired, and Yahoo!
