Trinidad and Tobago skier says Lausanne 2020 gave her "greatest day"

Following on from Brian Lewis' comment...

Abigail Vieira competed for Trinidad and Tobago in yesterday's super-G event, marking the country's debut at the Winter Youth Olympic Games.

She finished in 42nd place out of the 50 skiers who completed the course.

“This is the greatest day of my life," she told Trinidad and Tobago Newsday.

“It was good, the snow was great, the course was really rhythmic and easy to follow, it was fun.

"At the beginning I tried to push myself a little more, I was feeling the speed and just thought, ‘Keep on going.’

"Coming off the last jump I felt like I could have gone a little bit more.”

Vieira will be among the starters in the slalom section of the alpine combined event, which has just begun.
