September 29 - Britain’s disability shooters, including Beijing Paralympic gold medallist Matt Skelhon, are gearing up this week for the International Paralympic Committee (IPC) Shooting World Cup, which takes place at Stoke Mandeville from tomorrow until next Sunday (October 3).

The event will see shooters from across the globe travel to Stoke Mandeville, the home of Paralympic sport, to compete in the event, in which a squad of 23 British shooters will also compete.

A total of 68 athletes from 14 nations, including Thailand, the United States, Australia and Poland will be in action this weekend.

This will be the first time Britain has hosted the World Cup and will give athletes a valuable chance to compete in an international competition on home soil.

The competition will also be the final in a series of five World Cups to take place in 2010.
