October 5 - Australian swimmer Annabelle Williams, who won the bronze medal at the 2008 Paralympics and 2006 Commonwealth Games, has revealed to ABC that she will be Oscar-winning Charlize Theron's stunt double in "Mad Max: Fury Road".

Just like Williams, Theron's character will be without some of her left arm.

"I got a phone call from one of the people at [the production company] and they said it's got a $200 million (£125 million) budget," Williams said.

"Then they said that the lead actress was Charlize Theron and I nearly died.

"They are going to film me from a very long distance for the fighting so that they don't have to CGI out her arm.

"And then I thought to myself the resemblance [between Theron and myself] is striking.

"Not at all.

"And she's about a foot taller than me."

"I will be her, but just not [in] the face."

"Mad Max: Fury Road" is a fourth installment in the franchise.

It stars Tom Hardy and is once again directed by George Miller.

Williams (pictured) was assessed by a James Bond stuntman to make sure she could undertake the role.

After getting his backing, she was sent off to learn the martial art Muay Thai.

"I've been training for about six months with a guy who was in the SAS and trains the military and things," she said.

"It's actually quite confronting to have someone launch at you with the intent to hurt you."

Williams will be hoping some of that fighting instinct can help her score a medal at the Commonwealth Games in New Delhi, where she is competing in the S9-category 50 metres and 100m freestyle and 100m butterfly.
