Evan_OHanlonDecember 27 - Australia's Evan O'Hanlon has predicted that he will surpass his triple Paralympic gold medal haul in Beijing at the International Paralympic Committee (IPC) World Athletics Championships in Christchurch next month.

The 22-year-old from New South Wales, who competes in the T38/F38 category for cerebral palsy athletes, is targeting an incredible five gold medals at the Championships, which are due to open on January 21.

O'Hanlon claimed gold medals in the 100 metres, 200m and 4x100m relay in Beijing and is hoping to add the 400m and long jump in New Zealand.

"I'm fitter than I have been, stronger than I have been, and faster than I have been," he said.

"I love the pressure.

"When the show's on I can turn it on."

O'Hanlon broke the 100m and 200m world records in his stunning gold medal runs in Beijing and became the first cerebral palsy athlete to run under 11 seconds over 100m and 22 seconds for 200m.

That has whetted his appetite for Christchurch.

"I want to win every event," O'Hanlon said.

"I don't run or jump to come second."
