Heather_Mills_skiingMay 1 - Heather Mills has purchased a ski chalet in the Alps as she seeks to win a place on Britain's Paralympic team for the 2014 Winter Paralympics, it has been reported.

Sir Paul McCartney's former wife is looking to recoup some of her £1.4 million purchase through renting out the home to holidaymakers.

The retreat will be her training base as she seeks to compete at Sochi in 2014.

"The apartment is right in the centre of a ski-lovers' paradise," a source told today's Sunday Mirror

"Heather loves skiing and this will be a brilliant place for her to train for the Paralympics.

"She's also looking forward to spending some nice holidays there with her family and friends."

Mills stayed at the chalet last year and has been registered in the name of one of her assistants.

It is located near 24 ski resorts, including Goldek am Millstatter, which has the longest black run in the Alps.

Mills will be 46 by the time the Games come around, but team manager Dave Chugg told insideworldparasport last year that he believes her her fitness and determination could be enough to win her a place on the Paralympic squad.
