Tendani_MagazineSeptember 28 - The Paralympics Association of Botswana (PASSOBO) has suspended its secretary, Tendani Magazine, after she allegedly insulted one of the country's disabled athletes via a text message.

Her fate is now set to be decided at the organisation's annual meeting next month.

Thuso Rasetapa, the President of PASSOBO, has admitted that Magazine could face the sack following the accusation which earlier this month led to her being sent home from the All Africa Games in Maputo where she was the team manager.

The alleged exchange took place when she was contacted by the unnamed athlete seeking financial help.

"Ur are useless," Magazine allegedly wrote back.

"Get a life. I did not cause your disability. I do not need you in PASSOBO, Ur are useless."

Magazine, who is a nurse by profession, has claimed that she sent the message after being under pressure, which included her being accused of misusing PASSOBO's funds, a charge which she has strongly denied.

"Everyone of us has a limit, I had just had enough of their accusations and I had to defend myself," she said.

"We have many problems at PASSOBO and we were not exchanging those nasty messages for the first time."
