Germany break world record again to beat Britain to women's team pursuit gold

Germany have ended Britain’s reign as women’s team pursuit Olympic champions.

The German team of Franziska Brausse, Lisa Brennauer, Lisa Klein and Mieke Kroeger are dominant from the start.

They open up a two second lead by the halfway mark and spend the remainder of the race closing on the British squad.

They hit the bell with Britain in their sights.

Another world record ride for Germany, as they achieve a time of 4:04.249.
