If you read Patrick Nally's Big Read earlier you will have seen he made a reference to the high salaries earned by some of the directors at IOC.

Earlier this month, my colleague David Owen wrote a piece about financial information filed by the IOC with the United States Internal Revenue Service. The IOC’s Form 990 filing for 2021 was open to public inspection and revealed some very interesting information.

Among the information was the revelation that one IOC official, director general Christophe De Kepper, received over $1 million when all forms of compensation including retirement and deferred benefits and non-taxable benefits were taken into account.

A total of 16 top managers were said to have received more than $500,000 once all forms of compensation were counted. You can read David's piece here.

Remember, these figures are for 2021 so them of those listed have either retired or left, but most remain in their positions. 

For those kind of salaries, who wouldn't!
