From 20 to 24 May, the delegation of the International University Sports Federation (FISU) inspected the preparations for the 2027 FISU World University Games in Chungcheong (Chungcheong 2027 FISU Games).

The main objective of this second visit was to assess progress ahead of the inspection by the FISU International Technical Committee in November. The focus was on inspecting the venues and discussing the Master Plan to ensure that preparations are on track.

The four-member delegation, led by Jing Zhao, FISU Summer Games Director, visited sports venues in the Chungcheong region and assessed progress with the sports managers appointed by the Organising Committee in March. The delegation also reviewed key developments and the master plan of the Games following the first FISU inspection in December last year.

Thanks to the good preparation of the Organising Committee, the inspection was a complete success. The FISU delegation gave an overall positive evaluation, confirming the good progress in the preparations for the 2027 FISU Games in Chungcheong.

FISU also provided interesting seminars for the sport managers. The focus then shifted to the Games master plan. The President of the Organising Committee, Chang-hee Kang, and the FISU representatives had their first face-to-face meeting, during which they pledged to further strengthen the close commitment of both sides.

The FISU inspection was successfully completed, with the Chungcheong 2027 FISU World University Games Organising Committee (CHUOC) demonstrating thorough preparation and prompt responses, ensuring that all planned activities were carried out as scheduled.

Jing Zhao, Director of the FISU Summer Games Department, expressed her satisfaction, saying: "We are very satisfied with the in-depth discussions with the organising committee on key areas of preparation for the Games. We will provide constructive feedback on the OC's Master Plan to support more efficient preparations for the Chungcheong 2027 FISU Games.

Vice President Chang-seop Lee said, "The visit of the FISU inspection team was a valuable opportunity not only to review our preparation status, but also to receive a lot of feedback. We will continue to implement the preparation process thoroughly and do our best to ensure the successful hosting of the Games."
