The date has been pushed back four months, but the venue remains the same: AT&T Stadium, home of the NFL's Dallas Cowboys. Mike Tyson, the former heavyweight champion of the world, has had to delay his comeback due to health problems. 

The youngest champion in history suffered nausea and dizziness on a flight to Miami, prompting a visit to the doctor.
The fight against YouTuber and professional boxer Jake Paul was originally scheduled for 20 July. It will now take place on 15 November.

Promoters announced the new date and venue on Friday, with the fight still set to take place at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas. Paul announced the new date by posting on X, formerly Twitter, saying, "New date, same place, same destiny."

Tyson, who turns 58 on 30 June, required medical attention. The promoters said Tyson had suffered a "flare-up of an ulcer". Doctors recommended a reduction in training for several weeks, forcing the postponement of the fight.

"Although we had to postpone the fight, I will resume training shortly," said Tyson. The former world champion expressed his gratitude for the support and treatment he received, saying, "I am grateful to the medical staff who treated me and to MVP, Netflix and AT&T Stadium for working diligently to find the best rescheduling date for all parties."

True to his character and self-confidence, Tyson declared that nothing had changed. He said, "We may have a new date, but the result will be the same no matter when we fight. Jake Paul is going to get knocked out."

The fight will still be televised by streaming service Netflix. The fight will now take place on a Friday. This will allow time for the stadium to be rebuilt before the Cowboys host the Houston Texans in an NFL game on Monday, November 18. 

The fight will have some special rules. Tyson, 58, will take on Paul, 27, in eight two-minute rounds. The fight will be sanctioned by Texas boxing officials. Tyson will step into the ring 19 years after his last professional fight in 2005.

The fight has raised a number of concerns. Former heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder expressed concern that Tyson could be seriously injured in the fight. However, Tyson said last month that the decision to return to the ring against Paul was a "no brainer." 

Tyson dominated the heavyweight division in the 1980s and 1990s, earning the nickname "the baddest man on the planet" in his prime. Evander Holyfield, another former heavyweight champion who had memorable fights with Tyson, remarked that Tyson is still lethal. 

Holyfield said, "If Paul manages to get in close, he can fight, but if he gives him the distance and Mike catches him, there is nothing he can do."
