Australia and Korea Taekwondo team up for Olympic Fight Day. TAEKWONDO AUSTRALIA

With the Olympic Games only weeks away, Australia's Taekwondo athletes are in the final stages of preparations before heading to Paris.

Having just returned from three training camps in Spain, France, and Italy, Australian athletes will now focus on final training activities, including a two-week visit from five world-class Korean athletes.

Two-time senior World champion Jun-Seo Bae, Hyun-woo Kim, Youth Olympic Games silver medalist, Junior World Taekwondo Champion, and World Taekwondo Women's Champion Mireu Kang, her sister Bo-Ra Kang and former World champion, Tokyo 2020 participant Ah-reum Lee, will visit the National Performance Centre in Melbourne between June 27 and 9 July as training partners for athletes at the NPC in the lead-up to Paris.

A local showdown between Australia and Korea is also planned, with a Fight Day organised for July 6 at the NPC, which will see Australia and Korea go head-to-head.

The day will also celebrate Olympic and Paralympic Taekwondo referees, with Nikky White and Ali Rahimi both in attendance.
