European Paralympic Committee extends sponsorship of the European Para Championships. EPC

The owner of the European Para Championships concept has extended its partnership with the European Paralympic Committee until at least 2035.

The European Paralympic Committee has renewed its sponsorship of the European Para Championships, providing crucial support in various capacities. This support includes endorsing the Games stamp, facilitating communication with members of the European Paralympic Committee and contributing to the ongoing development of the European Para Championships across the continent.

The renewal of the sponsorship provides crucial support for the promotion, development and organisation of the event, ensuring its continuity and growth as a pre-qualification platform for the Paralympic Games.

The common goal is to hold the European Paralympic Championships every four years, and the European Paralympic Committee will therefore use its links with the International Paralympic Committee and the European Union to actively promote the expansion and improvement of the European Paralympic Championships, not only in the coming cycles, but at least until the 2035 edition.

"With the extended sponsorship, the European Paralympic Committee recognises the importance of the European Para Championships as a multi-sport event, offering qualifying competitions for the next Paralympic Games in different sports. For us, this is crucial in our journey to develop the concept and facilitate the growth of many great Para sports in Europe," said Eric Kersten, founder of the European Para Championships.

Raymon Blondel, President of the European Paralympic Committee, said: "We are delighted to extend our sponsorship and support to the European Para Championships. The success of the inaugural event last summer confirmed the excellence of the concept. We look forward to continuing to work with the team behind it to grow and improve future editions for the benefit of members, athletes and the great sporting community we are developing in the region".
