Following the official approval, the Secretary General of the Asian Boxing Confederation, Mr. Ali Salameh, announced that Ukraine will be able to compete in the upcoming ASBC Asian Boxing Championships in the United Arab Emirates, starting on August 27.

"Together we are power" is the motto of the Confederation led by Mr. Salameh, among others, and it seeks to attract more nations in Asia to participate in elite boxing to compete against the best. "We support all athletes in the world and believe that the most important factors are our boxers," Salameh continued regarding the growth of the sport on the continent.

Therefore, the ASBC Board of Directors recently accepted the participation of the Ukrainian junior, schoolboys, and schoolgirls boxing teams in the upcoming event in Al Ain (UAE), as an exceptional decision for this championship.

Mr. Pichai Chunhavajira, President of the Asian Boxing Confederation, also expressed his gratitude for the Ukrainian team’s ability to participate in the Eastern Championship and now expects a "record number of boxers in the United Arab Emirates." The Thai leader believes in the right of international boxers to "be one more in the Asian championships and show their skills, especially in these important age groups," Chunhavajira concluded.

In recent days, the ASBC management has been supporting Ukrainian boxers for the event, especially fighters of this nationality, without any political consideration.

As mentioned earlier, the upcoming ASBC Asian Junior, Schoolboys, and Schoolgirls Boxing Championships will be held in Al Ain, United Arab Emirates, between August 27 and September 10.

Boxers born between 2008 and 2009 will be able to compete in the junior category, while young athletes born in 2010 and 2011 will be eligible to compete in the schoolboys and schoolgirls category.
