Britain's Andy Murray and Dan Evans staged one of the great Olympic comebacks in doubles tennis on the second day of Paris 2024.

Their opponents in doubles tennis in these second dat in Paris 2024 were Japan's Kei Nishikori and Taro Daniel, and it didn't start well for Murray and partner Evans.

These are not just another few games for Murray tennis star, who will play his last match after an extensive career. He also competes in singles, and yesterday withdrew from doubles to concentrate on this latest singles challenge. It was 2016 which was Murray's best year. He won his second consecutive Olympic gold medal in Rio, his second Wimbledon and the ATP Finals. A total of 9 tournaments in one year. He had been a tennis star for several years, but his light started to fade soon after.

As an Olympian, he is the only tennis player to have won two Olympic singles gold medals, in 2012 and 2016. In addition, in 2012, he was a silver medallist in mixed doubles alongside Laura Robson. 

Murray has also won Grand Slams and is one of the most important tennis players of recent years, sharing the top spot with the big three: Federer, Novak Djokovic and Rafael Nadal at the top.

For Evans, this will be his Olympic debut after he chose not to participate in the Games in 2016 and was then forced to leave Tokyo after contracting Covid-19.
