Ramirez, who has a knockout power of over 80%, has been undefeated in 16 matches and recently won the WBO Global Cruiserweight title since his debut in 2018, while his opponent Deines is on a four-match unbeaten run. Deines has a knockout percentage of 60%.

The 175-pound, 10-round fight was scheduled to take place in Canada last May but due to an injury to the Venezuelan's right wrist, the fight had to be suspended.

Ramirez, who competed in the Rio 2016 Olympics, will be joined by compatriots and fellow Olympians Yoel Finol and Luis Arcon, who will compete in the 54kg and 63.5kg weight categories respectively.

Among other eliminator matches will be Spain’s Samuel Carmona and Romanian Cosmin Girleanu in the 54kg weight, Abel Mina from Ecuador against Shadir Musa Bwogi from Uganda at 75kg, and Jezzrel Corrales of Panama and Tigran Uzlyan from Russia at the 60kg weight category.
