Caitlin Clark is undoubtedly one of the most prominent figures in world sport in 2024. Just three months into the WNBA season, her era with the Indiana Fever is already an unprecedented success.

The economic, television and social media impact has exceeded all expectations, with the Iowa-based franchise at the epicentre of an unstoppable transformation of women's basketball in the United States

In Indianapolis, the Fever is the WNBA's top-selling team with a 264% increase in ticket sales and nearly one million fans in attendance at Gainbridge Fieldhouse since the season began on May 15. The franchise leads the league in home and road attendance, while TV ratings have shattered records, thanks in large part to Clark, who leads the WNBA's most talented rookie class in recent memory.

Her impact on the competition has been so great that the WNBA has announced Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, home of the Indiana Fever, as the site of the AT&T WNBA All-Star 2025. The 21st WNBA All-Star Game, scheduled for Saturday, July 19, will mark the first time Indianapolis will host the league's showcase.

The 2023 All-Star Game in Phoenix, which featured Clark as the starter, drew a record 3.44 million viewers on ABC, breaking the previous record of 1.44 million viewers set in 2003.

Indiana's first overall pick in the 2024 WNBA Draft, Clark has taken her super-sized star power from the college game to the Women's National Basketball Association and has proven to be a top draw wherever she goes.

"We are thrilled to bring the AT&T WNBA All-Star to Indiana for the first time," said WNBA Commissioner Cathy Engelbert. "The city of Indianapolis and the entire state of Indiana have such an incredible and enduring passion for the game of basketball, making the region the perfect host to celebrate the WNBA and the game's greatest stars."

"We are in the midst of a pivotal, transformative moment in the history of the WNBA and women's basketball, and we are thrilled that Indiana will be at the centre of it all, showcasing the game's greatest stars during next season's All-Star Game," said Mel Raines, CEO of Pacers Sports & Entertainment.

"Leaders from across our community will do what we do best: welcome fans from across the country and around the world to Indiana, raise the bar for future host cities and leave a lasting legacy for our city and state."

In addition to the AT&T WNBA All-Star Game on Saturday, 19 July, players will showcase their skills in the WNBA STARRY® 3-Point Contest and the Kia WNBA Skills Challenge on Friday, July 18. Fans will also enjoy the 4th year of WNBA Live, a two-day interactive celebration that showcases the intersection of the WNBA with sports, fashion, music and culture.

ABC's presentation of the 2024 AT&T WNBA All-Star Game, which was played in front of a sellout crowd of 16,407 at the Footprint Center in Phoenix, drew 3.44 million viewers in the most-watched edition ever. WNBA Live, held at the Phoenix Convention Center, included activations from a record 24 corporate partners, up from nine in 2022 and 13 in 2023, and a 21% increase in fan activations.

Although she didn't make the final cut for the US team that won gold at Paris 2024 and made Diana Taurasi a record six-time Olympic champion, Catlin Clark's time has come and she should be one of the leaders for the next Games in Los Angeles in 2028.
