Canberra to host Australian Masters Games 2025. AUSTRALIAN MASTERS GAMES

The Australian Masters Games return to the nation’s capital Canberra for the first time in over two decades and is expected to welcome over 7,500 athletes as they travel from across the country to compete in over 50 sports. The event will take place from 18 – 25 October 2025.

The Masters Games is Australia’s largest regular multisport festival and is currently working with National and State Sporting Organisations to finalise the list of sports available with sports such as baseball, croquet, pickleball and tenpin bowling in review to showcase in the event. 



Canberra is eager to showcase itself as the perfect destination for competition and some after-games fun. The city is easy to explore and features world-class art and a thriving food and wine scene. Nearby hiking and biking trails, as well as a thrilling zipline tour, is also on offer for those who craze a bit more adventure. 

The Australian Masters Games (AMG) is owned by and is a key program of the Confederation of Australian Sport’s (CAS) ‘Sport for All’ platform. The official sports list and accompanying venues will be announced in the coming months.
