The Georgian Paralympic team left on Sunday for the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games. The delegation is composed of 14 athletes who will compete in six sports. 

Para-taekwondo athletes Ana Japaridze and Lia Chachibaia are the first to compete on Thursday in the Grand Palais, followed by fellow taekwondoin Giorgi Nikoladze. Irma Khetsuriani and Nino Tibilashvili will compete in wheelchair fencing, with Giorgi Ochkhikidze entering the hammer throw competition and Davit Kavtaradze's long jump in athletics.



Vladimir Chincharauli will compete in the 10-metre rifle shooting, while Zurab Zurabiani, Giorgi Kaldani, Ina Kaldani, Lasha Kizilashvili and Revaz Chikoidze will perform in judo. Finally, Akaki Jintcharadze will face his rivals in +107 kg powerlifting.

The Paris Paralympic Games begin on Wednesday, 28 August, at 20:00 CEST.
