Six athletes who competed in last winter's Nordic Para Ski World Cup will feature in the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games. 

Aaron Pike, Oksana Masters, Benjamin Daviet, Kendall Gretsch, Giuseppe Romele and Aline dos Santos Rocha showcase their versatility as they trade in their winter gear for a chance to medal in the Summer Games. 

American Power Couple Pike and Masters have competed in every Paralympic Games —summer and winter— since London 2012. Pike was the 2023 world champion in the men’s 12.5km sitting and the mixed 4 x 2.5km relay.

Masters is a 17-time Paralympic medalist, including 7 gold medals, and will be defending her two Para road cycling titles from Tokyo. At the Beijing 2022 Paralympic Winter Games, Masters medalled in all seven of her events, becoming the most decorated US Winter Paralympian of all time.

Fellow American Kendall Gretsch has also topped the podium at both summer and winter Games. She will be defending her para-triathlon title in the PTWC category. She claimed five individual gold medals in the Para Nordic World Championships last year. 

Brazil's Aline dos Santos Rocha will showcase her speed in wheelchair racing. She won the para-nordic sprint freestyle at the last world championships. 

Beijing 2022 bronze medallist Giuseppe Romele will be making his Summer Games debut in Paris. The Italian will compete in the para-triathlon which will start and finish on the Pont Alexandre III.

Benjamin Daviet hopes to make history on home turf by becoming the first Frenchman to win a medal at both the Summer and Winter Paralympic Games. The five-time para-biathlon and para-cross-country skiing champion, has qualified for the Para rowing regattas in the mixed double sculls, partnering with Perle Bouge.

"It's a great motivation, of course, but I prefer not to focus on the story. I'm just concentrating on my training to help the boat progress," he told Olympics.com about the possibility.   

The Paris 2024 Paralympic Games kick off tomorrow, 28 August, at 20:00 CEST.
