The Cup, which will bring together the brightest prospects in baseball, will take place from 6 September in the Asian giant, in a tournament that promises to overflow with adrenaline and talent on every pitch. All eyes will be on Japan, the defending champion, as they vow to protect their crown.

Just seven days until the roar of bats will echo across the diamonds of Shaoxing, China, as the sixth edition of the WBSC U-23 Baseball World Cup 2024 put in motion. Since its inception in 2014, when it debuted as an U-21 tournament before transitioning to the U-23 category in 2016, this event has been a hotbed of talent and a spectacle that delivers excitement every two years.

Group A promises to be a fierce battle, with Japan, Australia, and Puerto Rico leading the world rankings, closely followed by Colombia, Great Britain, making their debut in this tournament, and China, who will be eager to make the most of their home advantage. In Group B, South Korea, Chinese Taipei, and Venezuela, all in the world’s top 10, will be challenged by underdog teams with a strong desire to surprise, such as the Netherlands, Nicaragua, and South Africa, each bringing their own blend of talent and determination, hoping to upset the favourites.
