International_Univeristy_of_MonacoJanuary 15 - The International University of Monaco has announced that it is to introduce a new Master in Sustainable Peace through Sport (MSPS) from September.

The 10-month multi-disciplinary programme, taught entirely in English, will seek to educate and train an elite group of engineers for peace through sport.

Participants will learn to use sport as a strategic tool to fight against poverty, build and promote sustainable peace in post-conflict areas and to nurture social cohesion.

Designed for graduates and executives, the innovative Master programme combines solid academic knowledge about business, the sport industry and the peace-building process with practical skills.

Graduates are expected to fill junior and senior positions in project management and operations, talent development and coaching, sales, marketing and new media, PR, fund-raising, sponsorship, corporate relations and sporting goods brand management

The International University of Monaco - part part of the French INSEEC Group – has developed the programme in conjunction with the United Nations-mandated University for Peace in Costa Rica and Peace and Sport.

"We are very aware of the role of sport in fostering and shaping the key values and personal development of our students so that they can contribute to a better world," said Catherine Lespine, President of the Inseec Group.

"From that perspective, the Master in Sustainable Peace through Sport is a unique and timely initiative that will nicely complement the Master in International Sport Business and Management already offered by Inseec.

"The Inseec Group is very happy to be able to contribute to this noble mission."
