Aubut will take his place on the commission, whose role is to promote the relationship between the Olympic Movement and Government.

Aubut has been the president of the Canadian Olympic Committee since 2010 and believes the Commmission is "an excellent forum for Canada to develop a great network of relationships and benefit from shared learnings and a strong partnership with the IOC."
