Loughborough_15-07-11July 16 - A new high performance leadership programme combining performance development consultancy, Lane4's experience in the corporate world, research from Loughborough University and insights from Team GB will be launched in November this year.

The High Performance Leadership Academy is a four day residential development programme hosted at Loughborough University's campus which will be the official 2012 preparation camp headquarters for Team GB.

The programme will explore leadership from individual, team and organisational perspectives and will appeal to senior leaders looking for a learning experience which is distinct to traditional executive education programmes.

Chris Earle, Director of Sport at Loughborough University said: "As Loughborough enters a fantastically exciting year of delivery to British sport, it feels very appropriate that we also offer insight from our own sporting world of elite performance to British business, in partnership with Lane4.

"We can't wait to get started."

The Academy offers a unique perspective on the world of elite sporting performance and supports delegates in applying insights to business - whether creating mentally tough leaders or leading high performing teams, coaching for performance or the leader's role in creating a high performance environment.

Lane4's managing director, Olympic gold medallist Adrian Moorhouse said: "Lane4 is very excited to be partnering with Loughborough University to provide our clients with this unique development opportunity.

"Participants will gain a true insight into leading world-class performance at a time when athletes and coaches are making their final preparations to deliver in London."

The programme faculty includes programme Leader Dr Austin Swain and senior consultant Dr Alison Mowbray from Lane4, as well as Professor Jim Saker and Dr David Fletcher of Loughborough University.

British Triathlon chief executive Zara Hyde Peters and men's head coach at England Hockey Jason Lee will also be involved as will various athletes making final preparations for London 2012.

Throughout the programme, delegates will stay in four star accommodation at the university's Burleigh Court Hotel & Conference Centre, while the price of the programme is £4,750 ($7,655), inclusive of food and residential costs.

The first two programmes will run from November 28 to December 2, 2011 and January 30 to February 3, 2012 with further 2012 dates to be announced in due course.
