Camping at_the_GamesJuly 15 - London 2012 Olympic Games, outdoor experts Camping at the Games will be showcasing one of their sites being used for London 2012 accommodation next Tuesday (July 17), as part of their unique initiative to encourage some of the estimated two million Olympic visitors to camp in the capital.

The event is taking place at Match Day Centre, Walthamstow and gives London 2012 fans the opportunity to witness Camping at the Games in action, along with meeting Games Makers and speaking to the founders of the scheme.

The camping organisation has teamed up with well known camping retailer Blacks to provide on-site shops and discounts for Blacks and Camping at the Games customers.

In addition to this, they have also joined forces with a number of local schools and community sports centres in London, Reading and Weymouth to provide high quality camping pitches starting from £10 ($16/€13) a night.

The camp sites are situated near to all major Olympic and Paralympic venues and provide an alternative way to experience the Games.

Their range of impressive facilities including free hot showers, free parking, public transport right on their doorstep and a choice of pre-erected tents, along with their low prices, have attracted many Games Makers and staff to camp there during the Games.

There are many participating venues, such as the Match Day Centre in Walthamstow Wodson Park, Blackheath RFC, Southgate Hockey Club, Eton Manor Rugby Club, Weymouth College Community Sports Centre, Surbiton HC and Staines HC.

Camping at the Games is powered by Campingninja.com – the UK's market leader in web-based online booking for campsites and parks.
