altJune 23 - Luol Deng (pictured), on whom Britain's basketball hopes for this year's European Championships and the 2012 London Olympics rest, has started running again as his rehabilitation from injury continues.

The Chicago Bulls superstar missed the last 22 matches of the recently completed season, including the play-offs, because of fracture his right tibia.

But he is now edging his way back to fitness as Britain keeps its fingers crossed that he will be fit for the European Championships in Poland in September.

Bulls general manager Gar Forman said: "He's been [at the Berto Center] working some.

"He's starting to run some and get some shots up.

"So we think that's progressing well.

"At this point, [the training staff] is real happy with his progress."
