altJune 18 - Baroness Sue Campbell, the chair of UK Sport, made her maiden speech today in the House of Lords, speaking at a debate on the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games.

"My passion remains as strong as ever and I very much look forward to working with fellow peers to drive forward sport in the UK - both at elite level and within the education system."

Sebastian Coe, the chairman of London 2012, who called today's debate, said: "I have seen Sue’s dedication to sport first hand in the 30 years I have known her, and I’m delighted that her outstanding achievements in the world of sport have been recognised in this way.
