altSEPTEMBER 17 - BRITISH BASKETBALL'S success, spearheaded by NBA superstar Luol Deng (pictured), has been recognised with the announcement today that five companies have signed up to be associated with the team as they aim for London 2012.

 

The companies are Adidas, the official kit supplier, Strathmore Water, water supplier, Lucozade Sport, nutritional products supplier, Molten, ball supplier and Hire Intelligence, technology equipment supplier. 

 

All the new partners have signed for differing lengths of time, but they all are supporting the men’s and women’s team throughout their current campaign. 

 

The men have so far won three of their opening four matches in the EuroBasket Division A as they seek to qualify for the European Championships next year in Poland, which should guarantee their place among the 12 top qualifying for London 2012.

 

The key focus for Adidas is their "basketball is a brotherhood theme" which centres on making brotherhood the heart of the community.

 

The partnership with Lucozade has a strong club promotional angle to benefit all players.

 

Fast Track the market leading sports agency specialising in communications, events and rights marketing have been tasked by British Basketball to create a strong portfolio of commercial partners in the push for London 2012. 

 

As well as the five they have already brought on board, they are following up a number of leads with regards to a title sponsorship. 

 

Fast Track wants the title sponsor to be a brand which has the vision to grow with a sport and who would thrive in the ownership of a unique sporting property.
