altBRITISH SAILING signed a sponsorship deal with Bolle to provide sunglasses and eye-protection wear during the build-up to the 2012 Olympics, they announced today.

Celebrating their 120 year anniversary this year, Bollé is an industry leader in eyewear and offers the highest quality sunglasses for performance and protection.

Bushnell binoculars will also be provided by the company.

Stephen Park, the Royal Yachting Association (RYA) Olympic manager said: “With the large amount of time the team sailors spend on and around the water, it is vital both for their performance and their eye protection that they have the very best in eyewear available to them.

"Technically superior and at the top of the optical field, Bollé is the perfect partner for Skandia Team GBR and we look forward to working closely with them in the future.”

Bollé already has an impressive track record in the world of sport including skiing, snowboarding, rowing, tennis, mountain biking, triathlon, golf and cricket.

Andrew Grose, managing director of Bollé, said:  “We are proud that Skandia Team GBR has chosen to wear Bollé.

"Our products are designed specifically to help face the challenges on the water including harsh glare, poor visibility and of course, fast action.

"Our lenses will help to enhance the vision of the team and above all offer them maximum protection.

"We are delighted that we are able to support the team and are looking forward to following their quest for victory.”
