altTHE future of the Olympic Stadium after the 2012 Games could be decided today at a meeting of the Olympic Board.

West Ham United and Leyton Orient both hoping to claim it as their new home.

Both the Premiership and League One clubs have held extensive talks with LOCOG with a view to moving into the East London venue in 2013.

West Ham are hoping that the 80,000 venue will largely remain, minus the athletics track - which would leave them with an ideal Premiership venue.

However, LOCOG, led by chairman Sebastian Coe, the 1980 and 1984 Olympic 1,500 metres champion, look set to insist on an 'athletics legacy' - which would see the arena reduced to 25,000 but with a track around the perimeter.

That leaves Orient as front-runners as their chairman Barry Hearn has already confirmed that his club would be more than willing to accept those terms.
