alt THE Olympic Delivery Authority has today announced plans to hold an industry open day for companies interested in bidding to build the temporary venues for 2012, including the hockey venue (pictured).

The ODA Procurement team is holding the open day on June 13 to introduce their vision for the temporary venues to experienced suppliers and contractors of medium-to-long-span fully enclosed lightweight structures.

The industry day will focus on the basketball, fencing and hockey venues which are expected to be operational as early as 18 months before the Games.

The temporary venues are to have the capability to be reused by the market, remodelled for an alternative use, or relocated for re-use in whole or in parts at other locations.

More details are available from [email protected].

The closing date is June 1.
