altTHE London 2012 logo will be discussed today during a presentation to Olympic inspectors as they continue their three-day visit to check up on progress for the Games.

It will be the first time the row over the £400,000 logo is raised during the visit by the International Olympic Committee's (IOC) Co-Ordination commission of inspectors.

Today's discussion comes after London 2012 bosses confirmed they are investigating video footage which had to be pulled from the organisers' official website because it risked giving people epileptic fits.

Sebastian Coe, chairman of London 2012, said: "We have set up an internal inquiry into exactly what happened with our suppliers and the promotional footage that was shown.

"We are getting to the bottom of what checks were made."

The shots, used as part of the launch event for the controversial Olympics logo, showed a diver piercing the water in a flickering splash of colour.

Some 30 people suffered after seeing the footage, according to Epilepsy Action.

And the controversy about the graffiti-style logo did not end there - within two days of its launch, more than 48,000 people had signed a petition calling for it to be scrapped.

The logo, made with the hi-tech new media-friendly younger generation in mind, was signed off by the IOC in February.

London Major Ken Livingstone has stood firm in his view that those responsible for the Olympics video should not be paid but has not shown great enthusiasm about the logo.

He said: "I am a politician, I do not make design decisions.

"I think it is a disaster when politicians do.

"It is a logo.

"It is not the meaning of life or a secret code that will identify the blood line of Mary Magdalene.

"It is a logo that will grow on you."

Inspectors will face a series of commercial presentations about London's hosting of the Games and will be special guests at a reception.

London 2012 will also be launching its summer roadshow outside the Tower of London.
