MAY 15 - SEBASTIAN COE has exclusively told insidethegames that it was "business as usual" as new London Mayor Boris Johnson (pictured) co-chaired his first meeting of the Olympic 2012 Board today.

The London 2012 chairman described the atomsphere as "very workmanlike" as Johnson hosted the meeting along with Olympics Minister Tessa Jowell, who had campaigned against him during the elections last month.

She had even refused to allow people refer to him by his first name.

In the end he still beat Ken Livingstone, who had played such a crucial part in London's bid to host the Games being successful.

But Coe said there were no problems during the meeting.

He told insidethegames: "He was welcomed as co-chair by the Olympics Minister.

"Then it was just business as usual.

"We always said that would be the case and that's good news for the Olympic project.

"This is a very complex project and I think he's quite right taking his time getting to grips with the complexity of it."

The agenda was dominated by preparations for the arrival next week of the International Olympic Committee coordination commission, which is making its annual visit to inspect progress.

The IOC's three-day visit will provide the mayor with an early chance for Johnson meet perhaps the most crucial stakeholders in the Games.
