More gold for Britains judo players

  MAY 27 - EDINBURGH'S Sarah Clark (pictured) has won the –63kg title on the second day of the 2006 European Judo Championships, in Tampere, Finland – beating both the World Champion and reigning European Champion to take gold.

The 27 year old from London beat Krzysztof Weglarz of Poland in the repechage final.

  MAY 26 - CRAIG FALLON has today become Britain’s first male European judo Champion in 10 years after winning gold on the first day of the 2006 European Judo Championships, in Tampere, Finland.

France to invest 100 million euros in stadiums for Euro 2016

March 28 - The French Government is to invest €100 million (£92.6 million) in its football stadiums as the country bids to host the 2016 European Championships, it has been announced.

The next European championships in 2012 are being co-hosted by Poland and Ukraine.
