The GAMMA 2024 Pan-American Championships took place in the province of Santa Fe and featured several outstanding athletes, but none more so than American Zoe Nowicki (GAMMA World Champion and Invicta FC signee, USA) who claimed titles in two different weight classes.

Nowicki won gold in both the -56.7kg and -61.2kg MMA categories, while Christopher Reyes (GAMMA World Bronze Medallist and former Pan American Vice-Champion, Nicaragua) finished second with a silver medal in the -61.2kg MMA category against Argentina's Luciano Troncoso.

The tournament, organised by GAMMA ARGENTINA (Civil Association with Legal Entity of Martial Arts and Combat Sports), took place over three days at the Club Náutico on the banks of the Paraná River and featured MMA and Striking MMA competitions for seniors and under-18s.

The MMA fights were conducted under GAMMA's Amateur MMA Rules to ensure safe competition on consecutive days, but were open to both elite amateur and professional martial arts competitors.

GAMMA President Alexander Englehardt commented: "It was a groundbreaking event for us and GAMMA Argentina did an excellent job in organising it. There was a good turnout for our first Pan-American Championships in the region, which attracted new countries, new members and through which we forged new links".

"It was a seminal moment forMMA in Pan America, which will undoubtedly spur further growth, and we look forward to seeing more Pan American athletes and nations at our World Championships in Indonesia," Englehardt concluded.
