The men's 3m springboard final was held today at the Aquatics Centre. There we have been able to see how the Chinese athletes Siyi Xie and Zongyuan Wang have conquered the podium with the Mexican jumper Osmar Olivera Ibarra.

Siyi Xie was the winner of the meet, taking the gold with a score of 543.60. The silver medal went to the other Chinese jumper, Zongyuan Wang, with a total of 530.20 points. Both have won the final and won two more medals for China, currently the second country with the most medals in these Olympic Games, just behind the United States.


The Mexican jumper took the bronze medal, close to the Chinese, with a total of 500.40 points., a difference of 29.80 points with the second classified. In this way, Osmar Olivera Ibarra managed to bring another medal to the country during these Olympic Games, after taking silver in the men's Synchronised 3m Springboard.

In fourth place was the US jumper followed by Great Britain and Colombia. In seventh position was the second British athlete followed by the French athlete and the Dominican Republic athlete. Finally, in the last positions was Australia, South Korea and Germany. 


The women's 3m Springboard semifinals were also held at 10:00 in Centre Aquatique. In this event, only 12 of the 18 countries could make it to the final to fight for the so desired Olympic medals.

The first position has been occupied by the Chinese jumper Yiwen Chen, who has qualified in first position with an incredible position of 260.85 points. In fifth place was Mexico's Alejandra Estudillo Torres with 317.05 points, in sixth place was South Africa's Julia Vicent with 297.30 points and in seventh place was Grace Reid with 290.05 points for Great Britain's jumper. In eighth position was the jumper of Malaysia Nur Dhabitat Sabri, accumulating a total of 286.95 points, and just 0.20 points behind was Saskia Oettinghaus of Germany, becoming the shortest distance between two places in this semifinal.
