The women's field field hockey final of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games was played at the Yves-du-Manoir 1 Stadium. The final was contested by the Netherlands and China with a score of (3-0) for the European country. The Netherlands continues its streak at the Olympic Games of reaching back-to-back finals since Athens 2004, winning three golds and two silvers in the last five editions.

The match began with overwhelming control by the Dutch, who from the start imposed their rhythm and dominated possession. Although the first half ended goalless (0-0), the scoreboard opened up in the 20th minute of the second quarter, when Luna Fokke scored, allowing the Netherlands to lead the tournament. Five minutes after the first goal, the Netherlands struck again thanks to Lauren Nunnink, extending the lead to 2-0 at the end of the second quarter.

In the third quarter, the Dutch pressure continued. In the 34th minute, Yibbi Jansen scored from a penalty corner, putting the final (3-0) on the scoreboard. This goal virtually sealed the fate of the match, with a Chinese team that, although never stopped trying, was unable to penetrate the tight Dutch defense.

The Netherlands thus reaffirmedits hegemony in both men's and women's field field hockey, having won Olympic gold with both teams. This title is their fifth gold medal in the last six Olympic Games, which illustrates the high level of the Dutch women's team.

On the other hand, Argentina took the bronze medal after beating Belgium (2-1). The match was closely contested by both teams, but it was Belgium that took the lead in the first quarter. This was with a goal by Louise Versavel in the 12th minute, ending the first half with a (0-1). However Argentina did not sit back and tied the match thanks to a goal by Maria Jose Granatto in the 25th minute, ending the second half (1-1).

Finally, the match was decided in the third half, when Agustina Gorzelany scored the decisive goal for Argentina by converting a penalty corner in the 42nd minute into the second goal that would earn Argentina the bronze medal (2-1). This becomes the country's third bronze medal in this discipline, while on the side of Belgium, it will have to keep waiting to get its first medal.
