The men's handball final was held today, where Denmark beat Germany 39-26. Spain wins the bronze medal after beating Slovenia 23-22.

The men's handball final was held this morning at the Pierre Mauroy Stadium. The countries aiming to win the gold were Germany and Denmark. This was the third consecutive final for the Danes, while the Germans had not reached the final since Athens 2004.

The match started very evenly on both sides, after the first five minutes it was Denmark leading by a one-goal margin 5-4. However, the Danish team gained a big advantage in the following minutes, to the point where at the end of the second half, Denmark was nine goals up at the end of the first half 21-12.

The second half was also very tough for the German team, who were not able to come back. Thus, the second half was also dominated by the Danish team, ending the second half with a score (39-26). In this way, Denmark completely dominated the match and crushed Germany with a difference of thirteen goals, which is surprising for an Olympic final.

Denmark thus won their second gold medal and established themselves as one of the world's top handball powers, having reached three Olympic finals in a row. On the German side, they win their fourth silver medal, after winning the last one at the 2004 Athens Olympics.

The match between Spain and Slovenia was also played, where both countries were playing for a bronze medal, which was won by Spain. This was an extremely close match, where both teams and the score were very even throughout the game.

The match started with a slight Spanish superiority which they were unable to take advantage of to get ahead on the scoreboard after several clear shots. The first half was marked by the fact that neither team was able to impose itself on the other, ending the first half tied (12-12).

However, at the start of the second half, Spain came out with much more determination and managed to get within three goals of their opponents. In this way, Slovenia had to fight their way back to level the match, when the Spanish team closed down in defence to avoid losing their advantage. In this way, the match ended with a tight 23-22 for Spain, giving them the second consecutive bronze medal.

In this way, Spain has now won a total of five bronze medals in the last eight editions of the Olympic Games. As for Slovenia, its goal of winning its first medal in this discipline will have to be postponed until Los Angeles 2028.
