Details of the remaining HSBC SVNS 2025 events, including the Grand Final, will be confirmed later. The five destinations announced were also part of the 2024 calendar, ensuring consistency for players, teams, and fans and building on the success of the inaugural revamped SVNS, which featured rugby sevens combined with music, food, and entertainment in a festival atmosphere.

With another record-breaking year for women’s rugby on the horizon, HSBC SVNS 2025 will continue to promote gender parity, featuring both men’s and women’s events at all stages and ensuring equal opportunities and funding for all participants. Three new teams will join the competition in 2025: Kenya and Uruguay on the men’s side, and China on the women’s side, having earned promotion through the HSBC Sevens Challenger play-offs in Madrid.

The women’s teams are New Zealand, Australia, France, the USA, Canada, Fiji, Ireland, Great Britain, Japan, Brazil, Spain, and China. The men’s teams include Argentina, Ireland, New Zealand, Australia, France, Fiji, South Africa, Great Britain, the USA, Spain, Uruguay, and Kenya.

Sam Pinder, World Rugby Sevens General Manager, said that “Following the spectacular success of rugby sevens at the Paris Olympics, we’re thrilled to announce the first five legs of the HSBC SVNS 2025.
