Clive_LittleApril 21 - Clive Little has joined the Olympic Park Legacy Company (OPLC) as the new director of events and programming at the organisation responsible for the long term planning, development, management and maintenance of the Olympic Park.

He will lead the OPLC's diverse range of events and programming for the future Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, working closely with Karen Webb who is the executive director for Marketing and Communications at the company.

"This is an extraordinary and unique opportunity and I am excited about the prospect of working on a prolific range of diverse events and activities that will help bring the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park to life," said Little.

"We have already begun to map out opportunities so we can have a fantastic programme of activities when the Park re-opens in 2013."

Little joins the OPLC from Cake, a specialist ideas and experiential events agency sitting within the Havas Sports and Entertainment Group, where he was global events director.

"This summer we will be calling for applications of expressions of interest to host events ranging from major events to local community festivals on the Park," said Little, who has over 20 years of experience in delivering events and venue programming to a wide variety of audiences.

Most recently, he was involved in driving new business opportunities across 2012 clients at Cake as well as delivering global event solutions and blueprints for high profile brands such as Motorola, Vodafone and Yahoo.

He has also led on domestic events for clients such as Clarence House and Nintendo.

Prior to this, Little was events and venues manager at the University of Essex.
