British head coach claims Delhi is for developing athletes

December 14 - Britain has effectively downgraded next year's Commonwealth Games in New Delhi to a development event after UK Athletics head coach Charles van Commenee (pictured) made it clear that his main focus in 2010 will be fixed on the European Championships in Barcelona as he continues preparations for the London 2012 Olympics.




TV boost for New Delhi Commonwealth Games

December 12 - Next year's Commonwealth Games in New Delhi has earned $60 million (£37 million) from selling the television rights, $20 million (£12 million) more than expected, organisers have announced as international inspectors arrived in the Indian capital to check on preparations for the event.
