Minichiello needs eye surgery to keep Olympic dream in focus

January 27 - Nicola Minichiello (pictured), one of Britain’s best medal hopes at the Winter Olympics which start in Vancouver on February 12, will require further laser surgery to her eye today to correct her vision following inflammation of the retina which left her virtually blind on one side while bobsled racing in Italy in November.




British Ski Federation on brink of administration

January 21 - Chemmy Alcott (pictured) is among British athletes whose preparations for next month's Winter Olympics in Vancouver face being seriously disrupted after it was revealed today that the British Ski and Snowboarding Federation (BSSF) is on the brink of going into administration.

Teenager to lead British curling hopes in Vancouver

December 17 - Nineteen-year-old Eve Muirhead (pictured) – described by the British Olympic Association's (BOA) chief executive Andy Hunt as "probably the world’s best young player" - has been confirmed as skip for the British curling team at the Vancouver Winter Olympics in February.
