There are only five days left until the Opening Ceremony of the European Universities Games Debrecen and Miskolc 2024. Both cities are getting ready to welcome participants representing European Universities from all over Europe to this year's biggest university sports event in the world.

One month from today to the start of the European Universities Games (EUG) in Debrecen and Miskolc 2024, a press conference was held to provide information on what to expect during the two weeks of sport this summer.

On 23 May, around 50 organisations, including the European University Sports Association (EUSA) and the EUSA Institute, took part in the National Volunteering Week 2024 at the Preseren Square in Ljubljana, Slovenia.

The MEFOB Festival (MEFOB FESZT), jointly organised by the Hungarian University Sports Federation and Széchenyi University, took place in Gyor (Hungary) from 30 April to 3 May.

This week an additional inspection visit took place in Debrecen for the newly appointed European University Sports Association (EUSA) Technical Delegates and for those who could not schedule an inspection during the EUSA - EUG24 Convention last June.

Registration for this year's European Universities Rowing Championships is open, with the first decisive deadline set for 30 April.

The Hungarian city of Miskolc hosted a two-day Supervision Commission meeting on 13-14 February 2024, where local organisers provided an update on their continued progress in organising the next edition of the European Universities Games 2024.

Registration is now open for next year's European University Games, which will take place in Debrecen and Miskolc from 12-24 July 2024. It will be the seventh edition of the event and the first to be held in Hungary (the 2026 edition will be held in Salerno, Italy).
