In a collaboration between the Pan American Taekwondo Union (PATU) and the recommendation of Panam Sports, the official launch of the first Pan American Taekwondo Championships in the U-21 categories has been announced. This initiative aims to strengthen and prepare the new generation that will compete at the 2028 Olympic Games in Los Angeles.

The International Weightlifting Federation has announced the 2024 Refugee Team of four athletes: Parisa Jahanfekrian (originally from Iran, but based in Germany), Aline de Souza and Monique Araujo (both from Brazil, but currently based in the USA) and Addriel Garcia (Cuba/Italy).

Taekwondo athletes in New Zealand suffer again because of governance disputes

New Zealand is in danger of being left without an Olympic quota in taekwondo. On 30th January Taekwondo New Zealand (TNZ) announced the names of the four athletes selected to represent New Zealand at the upcoming 2024 Oceania Olympic Qualifiers Tournament. Cole Creich-Watene (men's -58kg), Eisa Mozhdeh (men's -68kg), Jamie Carpenter (women's -57kg) and Jemesa Landers (women's -67kg) were due to compete for qualification spots at the continental qualifiers. However, their participation at Paris 2024 will be in doubt even if they win the continental tournament.

On the 2nd of March, ADXC 3 arrives at the Balneário Camboriú, in Santa Catarina, with an explosive list of fights, and two more fights have been confirmed. The preliminary card, in the flyweight division, features a jiu-jitsu duel between Zayed Alkhateeri and Oziel Santos.
