Spanish boxer Ayoub Ghadfa caused a major upset by defeating Tokyo bronze medallist Kamshybek Konkabayev. Nobody expected the Spaniard to beat the Kazakh, who had won five professional titles. However, Ghadfa came from behind to win 3-2. Undefeated Bakhodir Jalolov, the Tokyo 2020 gold medallist, made light work of Omar Sihiha with a 5-0 win.
