Yoga at_Russia_Park_in_Kensington_Gardens_LondonJuly 21 - Yoga will come to Russia.Park in London's Kensington Gardens, as the public are invited to take part in free sessions every morning of the Olympic Games.

Russia and Sochi.Park are the official residence of the Russian Olympic Committee during the Games, and they have a range of entertainment on offer to the public.

A taste of Russian culture will be available to all who fancy a sample of what Sochi visitors can expect in two years' time when the Winter Olympics and Paralympics take place in the Black Sea resort.

Among the entertainment offerings will be an ice dance show and the opportunity to take a ride in a simulated cable car along the Krasnaya Polyana mountain range where alpine ski events will take place in Sochi.

Concerts and the opportunity to watch the opening ceremony of London 2012 next Friday are also on offer to the public.

And now yoga will also be an option for those in Kensington Gardens.

A full session will take place from 10am to 11.30am every morning – all you need to do is bring a yoga mat and stretch out on the park's spacious green lawns.

Instructors will take the public through their stretching routine, Hatha Yoga.

Hatha Yoga, or the Yoga of Power Balance, works through posture and breathing work.

It is said that practise improves body posture, flexibility and tones up body muscles, as well as making the nervous system more stable.

It is also believed that it has a calming effect on individuals throughout the day, as well as boosting energy levels and concentration.

Russia.Park is advising the public to come well hydrated with loose and comfortable clothing, as well as not eating for up to two hours before.
