Sochi to host Formula One after Putin signs deal with Ecclestone

altOctober 14 - Sochi will host a Russian Formula One Grand Prix from 2014-2020 under a $240 million (£150 million) deal announced by Prime Minister Vladimir Putin and the sport's chief Bernie Ecclestone today, though the first race could be postponed if it affects Winter Olympics preparations.

October 13 - The triathlon course to be used for the London 2012 Olympics - which will include Buckingham Palace as its backdrop - will hold its test event when it stages the penultimate race in the Dextro Energy Triathlon ITU World Championship Series on August 6 and 7 next year, it has been announced.
