Paralympic stars set for Tyne Tunnel speed-fest

September 13  - The Tyne Tunnel in Newcastle is set to host the 2010 Tunnel 2k International, the fastest wheelchair race on the planet, this Friday (September 17) with London’s double Paralympic champion David Weir and Blackpool’s two-time  medalist Shelly Woods looking to defend the titles they won at the event last year.

September 12 - London's preparations for the 2012 Paralympics have been praised by the Australian Paralympic Committee (APC) after they completed their first visit to inspect the facilities currently being built for the Games, claiming they are looking forward to an event that will be "uniquely British".

IWAS World Junior Games hailed a success

September 11 - Poland have topped the final medal table at the prestigious 2010 International Wheelchair and Amputee Sports Federation (IWAS) World Junior Games in the picturesque city of Olomouc in the Czech Republic as they picked up an impressive haul of 65 medals, which included 32 golds, 25 silvers and eight bronzes.
